Great Vacuum beat my old Dyson!
I bought this vacuum recently as I was feeling my older Dyson pet vac wasn't really doing the job. I was absolutely right. Firstly, the Dyson was not sealed and although it has a "hepa" filter, it was losing dust. You could see the dust around the ball and around the base of the body. I vacuumed with the Dyson, brought home the Shark and revacuumed. Incredible! I have a 2 story 1800 sq ft place. The Shark filled up 3 canisters of dirt on the previously vacuumed floors. WOW. I was immediately sold.
The Shark has an on/off switch for the roller brush, lights, cleanable filters, long cord, several attachments including a long wand for under appliances or the couch (priceless) and a small roller that is great for couches, furniture, steps etc. It's so powerful that the roller frequently stops spinning on my longer "shaggy" throw rugs. It also emits no dust. Its clean, tight and quiet keeping the dust in the canister system where it belongs. The small roller works awesome. I used it on upholstery, steps and pet furniture, delighted at how powerful it is and how much dust/dirt it pulled out.
I also like how sturdy the Shark is made. The buttons are firm, the latches are strong and intuitively placed. It feels like a vacuum that will last. The roller ball makes access to tight areas easier and it almost feels self propelled gliding along most areas easily (not so on my throw rugs as described above). My wife has some mild allergies so this vacuum is a god send as we can already see a reduction in dust through using it.
Cons:
None really
Doesn't have a height adjustment? Maybe that could be an issue
Overall:
This is a great must have vacuum cleaner. I can't find any flaws and it works great.
