Hiya folks, So I recently picked this up, and have been using it for about two weeks. Although the taste is a bit funny, it seems to be doing a good job. Just wanted to inform you all about the differences between the Original Biotene Dry Mouth(blue bottle) vs Biotene PFB (green bottle). When comparing the ingredients (as seen below), it does seem that PFB does has more for your teeth. 1. Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate - This is basically a sugar similar to xylitol, and is not easily fermented by oral bacteria. 2. Mutanase - So within our mouth, we have lots of stuff. About 2/3's of this stuff is bacteria, and the other 1/3 is miscellaneous leftover food gunk + a sticky polysaccharide structure that helps the bacteria/biofilm/plaque attach to teeth. Mutanase is what targets and attacks the 1/3. 3. Dextranase - Helps kill the remaining 2/3's section of bacteria. Overall, I give four stars (and not five) because it tastes kinda' funny. Also, this mouthwash doesn't contain fluoride. I mean, there is tons of fluoride in our drinking water and toothpaste, but still. :p Below, if you're interested, I've put a list of the ingredients of both Biotene mouthwashes. Biotene PFB (green bottle): Purified Water, Propylene Glycol,Xylitol,Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Poloxamer 407, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Benzoate, Flavor, Benzoic Acid, Mutanase, Disodium Phosphate, Sodium Phosphate, Zinc Gluconate, Lactoferrin, Lysozyme, Lactoperoxidase, Potassium Thiocynate, Aloe Vera Gel, Calcium Lactate, Glucose Oxidase, Dextranase, Milk and egg derivatives Biotene Original (blue): Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Xylitol, Polyglycitol, Poloxamer 407, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Benzoate, Benzoic Acid, Natural Peppermint, Sodium Phosphate, Zinc Gluconate, Calcium Lactate, Aloe Vera, Potassium Thiocyanate, Natural Enzymes,Lactoferrin, Lysozyme, Lactoperoxidase, Glucose Oxidase.
