Nice and soft year round bed sheets...
We were shopping for a new set of sheets and had heard that flannel were good for keeping you warm during the winter months. After spending some time looking at different brands of sheets we placed an order on December 23, 2011 for our first set of Pinzon sheets in Chamois (cream colored), which arrived within a couple of weeks. The sheets were nice and soft out of the packaging. During the winter season they keep us nice and warm; whereas in the summer months they actually keep us relatively cool and don't overheat us. We enjoyed the Chamois sheets so well that we placed an order on March 16, 2017 for another set of Pinzon sheets in Aubergine (deep purple), which arrived in a couple of days. There is definitely a difference in the weave of the fabric between the two different colors. The Aubergine feels more like microfiber and the Chamois feels more like your typical flannel. Either they have changed the way that they weave the fabric over the years or there is a difference in the way that they different colors are woven. We haven't done any inquires into the weave aspect, as we've enjoyed this brand. Both sets of sheets have held up well and are combined with our other clothing when washing, nothing special required. The only negative thing that can really be said about the Chamois and Aubergine sheets is that they take up quite a bit more space in the linen closet compared to non-flannel sheets. The height of these sheets, when folded, would be similar to comparing a standard set of sheets with a secondary fitted sheet added to the stack. If you are looking for sheets to keep you warm in the cold and cool in the heat, then these sheets are definitely a good buy. If you found this review "Helpful", please click the button below.
