This works -- almost too well!
This absolutely beats mixing the traditional concrete by hand, especially for smaller jobs like setting a mailbox post. But read the directions thoroughly; then read again. And again. Because when you come to the decisive point, you will have NO TIME to dither! Be sure to have the mix right next to where you are going to pour it. Not 10 feet away. Not even 5 feet away. Figure out what you will rub it on and have that right there, too. I used the rim of our metal wheelbarrow. (If this makes no sense to you, it will when you read the instructions.) Rub the pack back and forth for the specified time. NO MORE! Place the bag right where you want the mix to come out, and snip the corner. (I'd suggest a pair of scissors you won't want to use anymore.) You might expect, as I did, to have a liquid pour out. Hah! Erupting out of the package is a green foamy stuff that has a life of its own. I got it all over my hands, one shoe, the bottom of the mailbox post. It foams and writhes and expands. And it works, really really well. Within 5 minutes the mailbox post stood solid without any support. It dries even quicker on your skin! Kerosene got some of it off. The dry stuff you just have to scrape off. I'm using a metal nail file now!
