I bought the large and it fit perfectly into my 2014 Acura MDX. My 17 lb., VERY long, Cavanese snuggles into it and is very happy. It could be a tad longer for him, but I think that's me saying that and not him! Sitting up it is perfect, and lying down he puts his head on the edge so he fits fine. It took about 3 short trips for him to stop trying to jump into our laps where he was used to sitting before, and he now immediately jumps into his seat and snuggles in. I feel so much safer without him sitting on my lap when I drive, and I am much more comfortable not having him in my lap when my husband drives! It's a win all around. Dogs love having something they know is their own, and this is HIS car seat and he loves it.
