Great Product When Properly Applied by A Dealer
I cannot speak to the Bad Customer Service or Warranty about this Product but I can speak to the quality of this Product. For Those who are Writing Bad Reviews about the Quality of this Product, I can tell you that if the Dealership is "cheating" and not properly applying this product by 1) Not applying 2 coats as they should or 2) not applying a smooth or full application of this product across your entire car then your entire car will not be properly protected from bugs and bird droppings. So before thinking that there are Product Issues, you should be going after your Dealership and making them Reapply It at their Expense a/s/a/p.
When your dealership has properly applied the product, your vehicle should feel silky smooth (and I mean silky smooth everywhere) and if bugs do not simply slide off and the few that do stick don't simply wipe off with no effort at all then your Dealership cheated and did not take their time applying it and/or did not apply it at all and pretended to apply it. If the water does bead when you wash your vehicle, then they have cheated or not taken the time to properly apply the Xzilon properly. They have simply skated on the fact that your car came with its factory shine. Believe me, if Xzilon has been properly applied, you will have absolutely no doubt it has been applied to your vehicle. Make sure that before they apply it that you run your hand all around your car before you turn it into them and then make sure you get your assurance from them that they are going to apply 2 coats not 1 coat to your car. When you get the car back, do the same test with your hand and you will know the difference and it should feel like silk. If you have any doubt, complain and before you take possession of the vehicle, ask them to apply another coat. I had my Dealership admit they only applied one coat and they said that's all I needed but once I read my contract, it said it invalidated my Warranty since Florida is a love bug state and I kept having bugs stick to my car and was having a hard time wiping some of them off. I finally took it back and insisted they apply another coat since it invalidated my Warranty and told them the product was not working, and ever since then the product has worked properly and worked exactly as advertised. I cannot speak to whether it will last the full 5 years or not but can speak to the fact that it has lasted 1 year with 2 properly applied coats.
Lastly, if you read the pamphlet on this product, it never says it will protect your vehicle from dings. Therefore, if your car salesman or dealership told you that, they misinformed your or oversold you on this product unless they upsold you on a product I was not sold on.
If this is the same Xzilon applied by the Dealerships, and it is being sold as it is with the manufacture being Xzilon, if you apply it properly and apply the correct # of coats, I would say that you will be extremely satisfied at a fraction of the cost since it is true; Dealerships are charging $800 unless they cut you a break which is what mine did. They said because they only charged me $400 that is why they only applied one coat. Well they didn't do me a "favor" by applying one coat if applying one coat made the product ineffective and they did not disclose the fact that when they said they would charge me $400 that they were only going to apply one coat instead of two coats as needed (& required in the state of Florida to keep the Warranty intact as required by Xzilon).
Luckily I was able to catch this before if became a Warranty issue.
I hope this is helpful.
