Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

This is ** NOT ** a "received item... for giving a review" Review - I selected & purchased this product after much researching and reading reviews, when available, to find the "just right" one! I'm thankful to all those that take the time to write reviews, which have enabled me to learn more about the product/s so I may make a selection & order with "well informed" confidence. I try to "return the favor" by writing reviews too. Some items that I'm "overly thrilled" with will inspire me to write a very detailed review. This is one of those items... MY REVIEW: Pleased with product, and received on time (or early) - Thank you! Purchased this item on August 19, 2016 - 3 months later - it's still working very well and using the same two (day & night) bulbs, too. Very happy with the duality of this dome lamp fixture - using on crabitat for day light bulb and night light bulb with timers. Like that it isn't to big or "bulky" - not like it would be to have regular size lamp fixture - especially needing TWO. With the reflective silver-tone aluminum interior, it does create a surprisingly bright illumination with the 60 watt bulb - one bulb has it's light reflect off both sides of the dome, which is ideal for my use. It does state "Polished aluminum dome increases light and UV output up to 30%" within the description - but I just hadn't given that much consideration. Not until after I saw it in action! "Dual ceramic sockets for use with lamps up to 100 watts (each socket)." That is an important detail to keep in mind. Especially when considering I've read / heard complaints that "bulbs burn out too quickly" - I strongly suspect the cause is from using too-high of wattage. "Deep Dome extends beyond the face of the lamp, preventing the lamp from sticking out" There is at least two inches from the bottom of the dome fixture to the bottom of my incandescent "day" & "night" bulbs.
