I will start by saying my dogs are very big, and there's no way to do anything that they don't agree to. That has made trimming their nails difficult in the past. I had high hopes for this product, as I had a similar one before, but it used sandpaper, so it went rather slowly, and their patience lasts only as long as the treats do😅. Upon trying this out, I was thrilled at the low noise level, and the speed with which the diamond bit ground away at their thick nails. I'm not sure if this brilliant company intended this, or if I accidentally discovered an AMAZING PRODUCT HACK, but the light, which I originally thought was somewhat pointless, actually has an INCREDIBLE purpose. For darker nails, you can shine the bright light from behind the nail and see how far before you hit the vein. I kid you not, I nearly lost it when I realized this! I never have to worry about accidentally getting too close and hurting my poor pups! Okay, now that I have shared this rant, I will list pros and cons for people who don't like to read too much. Pros: Super fast nail grinding Quiet Holds charge well Very sleek and easy to hold Light can be used to see veins!!!! Cons: I have honestly not found any yet, but will update if I need to. Extra tip, if your dog is afraid at first, for a few days just show it to your dog and give a treat, then turn it on and give a treat, start slowly and only do a little, and give a treat. My dogs are so comfortable by now, that they start licking their lips when I turn it on, even though they used to run from any grooming tools. This has made my life so much easier!!!!
