The Olive Kids Lunch Boxes are really well-constructed with sturdy walls to keep food from being squished. They are also well insulated! To test out how long my children's food would stay cold I placed a snack size ziplock filled with ice in the lunch box and timed it. I show my results in the photos below. The ice completely melted after about 4.5 hours. I purchased freezer gel ice packs to put in the lunch box for actual school use and I know it will remain cold longer than 4.5 hours. I am pleasantly surprised to find a quality lunch box that my kids find "cute" enough to use!
