Works great!
I bought this set to try out pen and ink sketching. It's really great for the price! There are a couple of things to note -- The nibs will be scratchy straight out of the box. Part of the reason might be that they are covered with some sort of alcohol. I singed the tips in a flame for about 3-4 seconds prior to using them. This made writing much smoother. Also, the type of paper one uses is important. You want a super-smooth writing surface otherwise the nib will catch in the texture of the paper and catch fibers (bad). It is pretty important to write differently while using these -- you can't press too hard on the nib like in a regular pen. Write gently and fast. And figure out the preferred angle for each nib by playing around. Some of them just want to cross-hatch. Anyway, all the nibs worked great for me! I particularly like 102 and 512. I've used them successfully with Noodler's Bulletproof Black ink in my Moleskine sketchbook and it has definitely opened up a whole new style for me.
