I bought this bowl about 2 months ago when I decided I needed to do something about my weight and go on a diet. I love this 'kit' because (1)the bowl is larger than others of this type, so it's perfect for a meal-size salad, not just a side salad; (2) the compartments in the top gel tray piece are the perfect size for mix-ins that you don't want to store directly on top of your salad greens until you can eat it; (3)the dressing bowl is the perfect size for the amount of dressing you need for a salad this size, and my bowl has not leaked dressing or olive juice at all; (4)surprisingly, the frozen gel compartment has not messed up any of my salad ingredients, nor has it produced any condensation that wilts the salad or gotten the croutons soggy/soft. The salad I ate for lunch today had olives with juice in the dressing bowl (I keep a bottle of dressing at work), some black pepper french fried onions in one of the compartments, and cheese in another. I made the salad the night before last, expecting to eat it for lunch yesterday but ended up having to skip lunch, so I left it in the fridge for today. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the onions nor the cheese were moist or soggy at all! The only negatives I have are (1)I wish the bowl wasn't so "round" - it's a little annoying to handle; and (2)I wish it was a little easier to get the gel compartment out/off. All in all though, great product for the money. I would (and have) recommend to a friend! Just FYI...
