Very Good
I've had a form of neuropathy for some long time now-particularly in my lower legs and feet. Whether it is from taking Statins (Zocor for years) or from T-2 Diabetes (also likely from the Zocor) but regardless, it makes my walking and even standing up at times a living nightmare. Shopping is particularly something I generally dread. I have had this condition for nearly 12 years now and despite taking various supplements that teased with the chance of helping lessen it, there had not been much progress. But, about 5 years ago, I discovered Benfotiamine and as it was relatively inexpensive decided to give it a try. At first I did not notice nearly Any effect but continued to take it anyway on the chance that it might take awhile to kick in. But, I did begin to wonder if it worked at all, and having been told "If you're taking a supplement and aren't sure about it, stop taking it after 3 months and see if anything happens, so that is what I did. The first thing that I noticed was that my feet and lower legs began to get very weak and numb. Numb to the point of nearly falling, losing my balance and making life, in general, frankly awful. So, having established that life Without Benfotiamine was more noticeably miserable, I started on it again to verify the results. Almost in just a few days time, the result was literally stunning. I could walk easily and more stronger again with good balance and stability. My wife noticed that I was "walking Much better" and wanted to know what I had done differently, I told her of my Benfotiamine experiment and she told me to "Never stop taking it again!" and I have to agree with her. My usual dosage is, though, 3 of the 300mg capsules each day. Since it's basically simply synthetic Vitamin B-1 (or Thiamine), it is quite safe to exceed the recommended dosage on the bottle a bit. In fact, I was contemplating adding yet another 300mg capsule to see if the improvement would possibly be even increased, but have not done so just yet, For the present, I am just enjoying the help that the 900mg daily dose is giving me. And yes, I did see my Neurologist today and was told that B-1 is safe. B-6? Maybe not so much... So, there you have my experiment and it's results. If I do increase the amount and have any notable turn out, I will be sure to update this review and let people know.
