My evachill arrived yesterday so this is my second day trying it out. For my first use, I used water that had been chilled in the refrigerator and turned it up on high. It was like sitting in front of an open freezer. It felt lovely at first, but then got TOO COLD! I turned it down to the lowest setting. It lowered the temperature if the ROOM by 5 degrees F. My office is a small (9'*12') second story room with a television and computer that generally keep it about 5-10 degrees warmer than the AC downstairs. I expected this unit to take up very little space in my room and keep me cool, but not cool the room. If I shut the door, my room is nice and comfortable now. Today I tested using my charging brick for my phone as the power source. I used room temperature water this time as I was almost uncomfortably cold yesterday. I kept the unit pointed away from me into the room. My room is comfortable, though still about 5 degrees cooler that before I turned it on. After 2 hours, I have not even used one bar of energy from my brick. My fan is set to the second to lowest setting. I still have at least 3/4 of my water, and I can barely hear the unit. It still seems a bit spendy for something so simple, but it is more effective than advertised so far. A great little unit.
