SAVE $10/MONTH RENTAL FEE FROM VERIZON! No brainer... Recently switched from Comcast to Verizon. Verizon offers to sell you a router now for $199. Spoke to Verizon tech about using purchasing my own modem/router from Amazon and he gave it the thumbs up. Bought a new router from TOPLASELLER for $130 w/shipping. Installation was a breeze. When you get your router call Verizon and speak to technical support to provision your new router. Leave your old router connected at first. Technical support will release the IP from it. You then swap the cables to the new router and technical support sends a signal to the new router. Youre done! Now get transferred to billing. Tell them you bought your own verizon modem/router and tech support got it up and running and you wish to return the old one and modify your bill to eliminate the $10 monthly rental fee. They will send you a return box in the mail. You just saved $10 a month and this router at the $130 price tag pays for itself in 13 months! No brainer. The router itself is excellent. Range is good, speed is very good. No hiccups this far like comcasts aweful gateway router. Delivering the speeds I payed for and verified using a speed test tool. Highly recommend.
