Let me preface this review by stating that I am a "clean freak" - I am obsessed with cleaning and cleaning appliances. I've been using the stand-up version of the Bissell SpotClean for about a year now, and it's been a lifesaver for me. I recently moved to a new house and spent a pretty penny on a beautiful new sectional couch for the living room. Unfortunately, my 20lb miniature Aussie developed separation anxiety and let's just say that he had an accident on the brand new couch. Being that my stand-up SpotClean didn't come with an attachment to clean upholstery, I decided to give this little machine a try. It's pretty simple to operate, just fill the reservoir with hot water and mix detergent, plug it in (with the nice, long cord), and go to work. It's not heavy by any means, but one thing that would be nice to have would be a carrying strap of some sort? While I was spot-cleaning the area that my dog had soiled, I noticed just how much dirt this little machine was able to remove. It was easy enough to use, so I decided to try cleaning the ENTIRE couch and removed a ton of dirt that one could not see with the blind eye. I cleaned a very large sectional couch with only one refill of the water/detergent solution, and the machine did a very good job of sucking up excess cleaning solution, leaving the fabric nearly dry. My expensive couch truly looked better than it did new. As I expected, this little Bissell was well worth the money and peace of mind that it offers in cleanliness. I would recommend this to my family and friends.
