Wow. I'm an avid camper and backpacker, and when I take a lantern with me, I've always just used a propane style. So, I think I'm never going back to that... These are awesome. I'm all about packing light and efficient when I'm out, and this really does the trick! SIZE: I love that the lantern closes and compresses to such a small size. Saves so much more space in your pack than other lanterns!! BRIGHTNESS: When I first received this in the mail, I was shocked when I turned one on in my living room. It's so bright!! You definitely don't want to look directly at it. I took it out to the backyard that night and it really does a great job of lighting a wide area. If you have all 4 going at a campsite, it'll light up a large area. POWER: These take AA batteries, which can be a pain if you run out of power, but they are way more compact than a propane tank! DURABILITY: These are well made. They are all plastic parts except for the handles, but they seem like they could withstand a beating and keep going. If these last a long time, they are more than worth it for the price. I want more of them! I would definitely recommend these!!
