We have a 65lb English Bulldog with a 32 inch girth. After reading the reviews we decided to go with the XL. I think he would have also fit in a Large but it's nice that he has more floats with the XL. It is a little bit too long but everything else fits fine. Can't wait to take him out on the lake once it warms up! UPDATE: Vest works great keeping our dog floating on the surface. No issues with wear and tear. Handle on the back makes lifting him back in the boat easier.
