Really good cooler had to find my own dry good bin
This is a really good cooler. Yeti has a lot more competition on the market these days so they better watch out. Kong makes a great contender for the Tundra 65 and ROVR makes a great competition for the Haul.
I didn't get this cooler on Amazon. I got it from a local Recreational Equipment company that was having an Anniversary sale so I saved a good chunk of money. Still, I buy a lot of things on Amazon and read the Amazon reviews so wanted to contribute my findings regarding a dry storage bin.
I'd read online that Cabela's 80/100qt. Dry rack works, but after trying some spare storage bins around the house (and at Walstore) I found some .97¢ 6 qt. Sterilite Dry bins and an 8qt. Sterlite dishpan (maybe $6 or $7, don't remember) which fit perfectly. However, the cooler doesn't close properly if you try to use the lids on the 6qt bins. FYI. The Sterilite bins say they are 14" long but I measured them and they are only 13.5". Perfect fit. The 8qt doesn't slide around when the lid is closed and is a bit snugger fit. I like that it takes up about half of the cooler opening - goes right up to the divider slot. If I make a cutting board slider it will be a nice way to organize. Also, the 8qt seems like it will be a good mold for a block of ice covering the bottom of the cooler. Dual purposes!
I've attached photos of the bins and their lookup info. Stay cool and stay happy humans.
