My husband wanted one of those As Seen on TV cooling pillows, so I started doing some research to see if they actually work. The reviews were not promising, but I happened to stumble upon the Gel'O Cool during my search--so glad I did! This thing really does what it says it does. No prep, no mess, no lies. The day it arrived, my husband put it in the refrigerator because he didn't believe it would cool him down otherwise. He used it that night and enjoyed it. The second night, he put his head on his pillow and asked me if I had put the Gel'O Cool in the fridge for him. I hadn't. It truly absorbs heat from your body and leaves you feeling cool, all on its own. Thank goodness for reviews! We would've wasted money on that other pillow, but this one is a winner.
