Frontier does it again! Stevia powder comes in a mylar bag, perfectly dried, ground, and sifted. If there are stems in there, they are so finely ground up that they can't be detected. Stevia doesn't attract moisture like some other products, but it's still better to keep it in the mylar bag until you are ready to use the product. Then pour the contents into a glass canning jar with a lid to keep the oxygen out and the freshness in. This isn't stevia extract - the white stuff. That stuff is an amazing product, but the process of pulling the sweetness out of the natural product like this is. The white stuff involves dissolving the natural product in resin, and that's where they completely lost me. I'll stick with the nice green product which is nothing more than stevia leaves that have been dried. Use about a half tsp of stevia per gallon pitcher of your product and work from there. Don't drink it immediately as it takes about an hour for the liquid to fully pull the sweetness into the drink. Once that happens, the remaining part of the plant will sink to the bottom and join the dregs of the rest of your product. If you try to drink it right away, the sweetness won't be there, but there will be a bit of flavor that reminds you of dry wheat grass - not particularly pleasant. After an hour, there won't be that flavor any more.
