Exceeded My Expectations
I've been using this hypochlorous spray on my face for barely over a week, and almost all of the redness that I've been living with for *decades* is gone! I've had a long-running case of seborrheic dermatitis (with an occasional bit of eczema in my beard area) compounded by a bit of acne and overall sensitive skin, much of which I recently learned via genetic testing that is somewhat due (in my case) to a reduced ability to deal with histamine, but I've also been living with a somewhat compromised skin barrier. So the constant redness/irritation in my face is something I've been living with for a while, and I have tried all types of lotions, ointments, serums, soaps and vitamins/supplements and prescription drugs to try to deal with it, with only modest success at best. This stuff, however, has done more to normalize my skin's appearance in a week than almost all of the rest (only Accutane left me with a better appearance, but once my course ended I rebounded, so that was no "fix" for me, not to mention the side effects while on it). When I purchased this, I was thinking "sounds promising, like all the rest of what I've tried, but I'll try it anyway and see if it helps at all"; WOW, I wish I'd had this several decades ago. Granted, I haven't been using this long, but based on what I'm seeing so far, I can't wait to see how much (or if) further improvement I get a month from now, then 3 and 6--I'll try to remember to update my review at those points. My skin also definitely heals much faster with this. I think it's pretty amazing stuff, and definitely worth a try if, like me, not much else seems to be making a real difference for you. UPDATE: roughly two weeks after my review, my skin is looking even better. The redness of my facial skin has further reduced, almost to the point where I can't tell it's there. The skin is also gradually getting smoother. I honestly never would have imagined this degree of improvement, let alone in only 3 weeks. Here's hoping that it continues. UPDATE (January 2019): Months later, and I'm convinced I've hit the peak of what this can do for me. Which was significant, so I am neither knocking the product nor taking points off my rating. This stuff works amazingly well. I still had some residual redness and sensitivity on my facial skin though, and the occasional small flare of eczema, and occasionally hives (limited location and duration), but none of that is the spray's fault. It still works for faster healing. I would recommend keeping this out of your eyes though--I know some are using it to try to help dry eye, but I found it in itself has a drying effect in that regard. In any case, I've tapered off the spray, given the peak I believe I've reached, and am only using it now for spot-treatments. As mentioned above, my underlying issue (as discovered after genetic testing) appears to revolve around an underlying decreased capability for dealing with histamine and inadequate DAO levels in the stomach; within mere days of supplementing with DAO (started this week), the remaining facial skin issues are already dramatically improved over and above what the hypochlorous spray did for me. So the spray helped (a lot) and got me to a point where starting the DAO supplementation is getting me the rest of the way (but faster than if I hadn't used the spray, IMO). I will continue to use the spray for spot issues as they come up, though I suspect that will be much less often now that I'm getting the histamine under control.
