Update: 20 April 2020: I still have the original Oster A5 and it has never failed me once, ever. I finished giving Sparky a Haircut this Morning and the power was there. Long Cord, easy to use and the power is there on Sparky's Double Coat. It does not get Hot after cutting hair for 45 minutes. My Highest Recommendation. Follow up report: I purchased this in April 2012. It is now September 2015. I have used my Dog Groomer dozens of times. I have saved countless hundreds of dollars if not well over $2,000. Each time I had to take my Sparky to the Groomer, they had to sedate him, that's $185, plus the Groomer Fee, $80 plus some other stupid fees in there. Each time it was $250-$300 AND it Sparky was so affected by the Anesthesia he was groggy for 2-3 days. After investing in the Oster A5 I was beyond delighted. The small human clippers could never cut through his English Springer Spaniel Hair and when it did, it yanked on his hair and the unit would over heat. Now, 3.5 years later, I pull out my Oster A5, I clip his legs, ears, chest, back, top, bottom all with ease and under 1 hour. Low Power Setting, High Power Setting, nice thick cord, Easy to disassemble to clean. No more visits, no more meds and it is done on MY time table! Five Stars.
