Do not listen to the negative reviews! If you take 60 seconds to read the quick start guide, you can't mess up the basic cutting features. It took longer for me to open the box than it did to cut my first image. I've read that the scanning feature is not as great. It works, but it helps to edit the image in the free scan&cut canvas software. There are easy tutorial videos for this on YouTube. I've used the software and it works very well. The mat is plenty sticky as well. I've cut paper, card stock, even contact paper. If it needs a recharge, I'll use the krylon low tack spray. Don't bother spending the extra money on the wifi card. A usb drive works well. It's also a great place to store files. I wish I bought this sooner. Now that I have it, I've thought of hundreds of new uses for it.
