I purchased this vacuum head to replace my previous head that broke at the adapter collar after 10 years of use (not a Milliard). Before purchasing the Milliard, I did quite a bit of research because many users have been stating that the newer vacuum heads are not built the same anymore; the main difference being their weight, or lack thereof. Yes, it may be a burden for some DIYs to handle a heavy vacuum head, but making the units lighter severely limits the effectiveness when trying to vacuum. The Milliard does not sacrifice weight; at 5.3 pounds, it is just the right weight to stay on the surface of the pool. Likewise, the 19" wide head does a great job of cleaning a wide path. Overall, I'm very satisfied with how the vacuum head cleans my pool. As noted in the pictures, I added a small amount of waterproof grease around the edge of the 1.5" suction port connection to make it easier to secure and remove the vacuum hose. Like most Amazon shoppers, I count on honest, unbiased reviews. I hope you have found this review helpful in making your purchase decision.
