Fast, but not the same as hand wraps
These do not compare to proper hand wraps for comfort, support, and sweat absorption (which boosts the life of your gloves and helps a lot with reducing odors). However, these do the trick if you are in a class with little warning to glove-up and get striking - they are much faster to put on and will help with filling out the boxing gloves and absorbing a little sweat. I don't expect them to look pretty for long, the stitching at the edges frays easily, and the logo peels off pretty quickly - especially if you do striking wearing these by themselves, which is another area these excel over hand wraps, which don't stay in place well for that. The worst part for me is that they put my fingers to sleep, so I can't tolerate wearing them for long. I'll probably cut each of the fingers a little to see if that reduces the squeeze enough to keep circulation to my fingers - which are not chubby. Pretty sure I've got the correct overall size. I might have overtightened the wrist, too, so I'll try a little looser next time. The velcro also isn't stitched in a manner that supports the wrap part curving around your wrist. It sticks up at the end, catching on stuff and in general being uncomfortable to wear. The gel pack on the knuckles is...interesting. I suppose it can help with pad burn from striking with nothing at all on your hands, but mostly I like it for packing in the space in my boxing gloves. I will keep a pair of these in my gear bag to complement my hand wraps, but they won't replace them.
