Super Versatile & Durable for Different Uses, Age Gaps and Long Haul Flights
I've had this stroller for a little more than one month and bought it for a long-haul flight alone with my 13 month old and 3-year old from San Francisco to Seoul, Korea. It arrived on time around Thanksgiving via 2-day shipping. Our City Select Double Stroller that we normally use was too big and heavy for me to take, especially as folding it requires popping off a seat and is a rather unwieldy process- far from hands-free/one-handed. I've traveled extensively for business and when I travel with the children, I usually have either my husband or at least one other person to help me, so I was very worried and nervous about doing this one solo with two toddlers for such a long flight in the dead winter arriving into snow. This is how I pimped it out to manage taking two little ones, a duffle bag, a backpack diaper bag, a kid's backpack, and two large strollers for this trip: - one large Mommy Hook to hang large duffle bag - two small Baby Hooks to hang kid's back pack filled with activities, iPads, snacks - Spartan Five stroller organizer for phones, boarding passes, cups, snacks - Eddie Bauer First Adventure, Benson Back Pack with built in clips to attach to stroller bar * removed all cups, and bars to avoid them getting lost, caught, or broken en route This is a lot of gear, and heavy to boot! I'm 5' 2" so having this stroller really made it do-able. I even managed to also push a Smarte Carte (baggage cart) with two large roller bags and the strollers when I landed... I know, insane. PROs: - Super Super Super light - Easily maneuvered with one hand - Can attach a lot of extra accessories - Can fit through most doors, customs line at airports, and through most lines through I did rearrange some of the stanchions (posts/dividers) in the security lines both at SFO and ICN to get the stroller through which no one made an issue about ;) - Having used many strollers, both single and double, this is definitely the best one so far despite the cons below. - Can easily accommodate children with size and age differences. - Awesome for urban and travel use, though do have to go backwards through doors but this is the same for all these types of strollers. - Stylish and easy to pop out wheel caps and straps to add accent colors. - Navigates through the city well. - Strolls through snow without a problem. - Good suspension. CONs: - Did not fit through the security check scanner/belt at SFO so had to wait a lot of extra time to be able to get it through security using manual checks - Does not fit through grocery store check out aisle so have to park stroller with kids in front of check out then bring bags back out and exit store through side entrance/exit at end of stores. - Sometimes I engage the break bar when going over bumps on streets since I have to lift the stroller from the back up by stepping it to get onto some sidewalks and cross streets. - Cups don't securely attach to stroller so both my 13th month old and 3 year old easily spin them and pop them off while sitting in the stroller. - Would be great if there was a handle on the stroller bag since it can be awkward to move when inside it and requires me to use both hands to do it which is not ideal for gate checks when also trying to manage two young children. - Safety buckles can be hard to unlatch- one stroller buckle is really hard to unlatch and gets jammed a lot. - Strap adjustment was a bit of a frustrating experience and took more time than it should compared to other strollers and car seats. Despite what might seem like a lot of cons, I honestly think this is a GREAT, affordable, and stylish stroller. I really could not have traveled back and forth across the world with a 1 and 3 year old myself with the gear needed without this stroller. So despite some of the inconveniences or things that aren't ideal about the stroller, the pros far outweigh the cons. I could load tons of things onto the stroller and because it is so lightweight, I just have to make sure to balance the weight so it doesn't tip over so when I take one or both kid(s) out then I counterbalance the weight by flipping over one of the bags from the back into the front seat. I've used it in cities, malls, grocery stores, subways, playgrounds, airports, through a lot of snow, and so far, the stroller has held up well and the little ones are happy in it.
