I'll admit - I've wanted a Ring Doorbell for quite a long time. I'd add one to my Amazon cart, it would sit there quietly, staring back at me, patiently waiting for my commitment move. The $59 "Certified Refurbished Ring Wi-Fi Enabled..." caught my eye, forced my hand, and it was soon a done deal. The price wasn't a deterrent in the past, it was more a question of whether or not I really needed another gadget - would it be a dust collecting piece of tech or become an integral part of my daily grind. All I can say is that I wish I would have made the move sooner. Within just a few hours, it had already earned its place as fun, cool, practical thing. I won't call it a gadget anymore, it deserves more respect than the "gadget" status implies. I've already been alerted when my wife went out the door on a grocery grabbing expedition, and again when she came back, her car filled with her quarry. I'm sure it'll do a heck of a lot more as the days pass by. I'll be waiting for that next alert - maybe the FedEx driver with another Amazon buy, or better yet, the pizza delivery kid with a deep-dish pepperoni and fresh mushroom pie!
