Wife says: We can all see it's cute. But for those who want to know what they're getting: Shower caps are way overpriced; at least this one has some substance and detail work to making it. There are two layers to the cap, a fine outer layer of printed nylon, a thin inner layer of plastic. The pink piping forms a tunnel for the elastic at the outer edge, so the piping will touch your skin, not the elastic. The "ruching" 2" higher on the cap results from a thin round covered elastic sewn on the inside of the cap (stitching through the two layers of the cap). The model in the picture must have a small head, as the cap appears more bouffant on her head than on mine. I think this cap will fit most women, but will not accommodate medium or large rollers; measurement from front edge (forehead) to edge at nape of neck is 18". Unstretched circumference of opening is 15", stretches reasonably to 18-20" ... and beyond, feeling tighter of course. UPDATE: after a year of use, still perfect, and keeps hair DRY. UPDATE May 2018: Used 3 YEARS & STILL GOOD!
