Here is what to expect from the camera. The center of the street is 40 feet away. The night seen is ambient light the IR lights on the camera are turned off. The reason you can see so far up the street is that I have a large IR flood light pointing that way. Over all I very pleased with the camera. I can only read the license plate during the day if the light is just right. Hope this helps.
