Alright, after many hours spent combing through reviews and reading about people knit-picking about strength, heat, power this should serve as a no B.S. review for people who actually do work and can give a crap less about luxuries... First things first; I have a mega thick haired German Shepherd- that being said this should make sense for what I'm going to review; heat, power, strength. Heat- Yeah, they get warm, especially if you're cutting through 400 sq. ft. of carpet called German shepherd coat for 40 minutes straight in 2nd gear. It’s not unbearable but I'm a man and used to things involving some kind of suck when I work. But really, it's not uncomfortable. Strength- It's an Oster, enough said. Power- Like a 4 locomotive powerhouse plowing through 8 foot of snow 6 miles long. In other words, it does work and works well; no bogging. If you have a pet buffalo I would suggest taking a breather, cleaning the unit, throwing some lube on her and get back to work. There you have it; strong, durable and sharp. I'd buy them again.
