Good taste...just in case
I will tell everyone reading this that my family has compared every brand of shelf stable food that we can get our hands on.
The Mountain House Brand is the BEST tasting of all that we tried.
It is as close to fresh made real food that you can get. Remember that this stuff sits in the corner for years waiting for the emergency or disaster that comes along and prevents us from taking a trip to the supermarket.
It prepares easily, tastes great and stores safely until needed. I would say that you should get enough for each member of the family to last at least 30 days.
I highly recommend Mountain House Foods.
