Check out my review for a great idea!!
Best, cheapest way to filter most things out of your water. The company makes a high quality filter that removes the nastiest things (lead being my biggest concern). If you don't want to pay 200+ for a home filtration system and go through the hassle of installing it then heed my advice! Buy this 6 cup filter and another 10 cup or the larger 22(?) cup ZeroWater filter and use the original 6 cup pitcher to intially filter the sediments and nasty things from your water, then filter it again through your second, larger system. The reason for this is because ZeroWater recommends changing your filter when the ppm test hits .006 but you can go past that limit with the intial 6 cup pitcher's filter since you have a secondary filter dealing with substantially less sediments to remove before hitting the .006. Then you buy a new filter for your larger, primary system and use the old one to filter from the 6 cup, discarding only one filter in the process (the original from the 6 cup). Rinse, repeat and save. I know this seems tedious but this saves you a lot of money on replacement filters since you will only have to change 1 filter 4-6 months past the companies recommended change time. **THIS WAS ANOTHER AMAZONERS BRILLIANT IDEA AND NOT MY ORIGINAL** I use this system and swear by it. It feels good knowing I am doing the most I can, on my budget, to not drink heavy metals that can damage your organs in the long term.
