cool and quiet
I installed this in my master bedroom when doing a master bath remodel. I mounted on an inside wall and routed the lineset inside the wall to the outside where my other condensors sit. The thing is super quiet with fan on slow and it helps keep our master BR at the right temperature for comfortable sleeping. I did purchase the recommended adapter for connecting a standard gauge set and it was necessary. I pumped down the lineset and evaporator for about 30 minutes with valve core removed and did a pressure test with compressed air before evacuating again (with valve core installed), and charging the lineset with 410a as a final check before opening the service valves. I also bought a small bottle of nylog which I read is helpful to prevent slow leaks on the 4 flare type fittings that the lineset uses. I put a dab on the sealing surfaces of all 4 fittings.
I suppose that it may be possible for an inexperienced DIY installer to have success without using a vacuum pump by just cracking the service valves and purging the lines with a little of the included 410a but this is not a legal practice and may leave the unit low on freon (besides leaving it subject to issues from moisture in the lines and evaporator.)
I mounted the condensor on brackets that I bought on amazon and I ordered some vibration isolation feet. Since I didn't have the feet when I did the install I just put in a couple of bolts loosely and used cable ties to secure the condensor to the brackets for initial test. The thing is so quiet and smooth that I really didn't need those vibration isolation feet. Both the senville unit and the aftermarket brackets that I bought came with some kind of rubber pads but I didn't see how those could fit or do any good. The bolt holes did line up but the holes are quite large and the mating surfaces of the condensor and brackets are not flat so its not a very good looking fit. Washers are needed to bolt it down. The photos show the current status and I plan to add some more insulation to the lineset and tape and seal it up. I coiled some excess length outside by the unit so that I may have flexibility to move it a bit in the future. I wanted to avoid having it placed too close to the outlet or inlet of my nearby larger condensors so as to avoid breathing preheated air or feeding preheated air to the other units.
I routed the condensate line in PVC inside the wall and left the connection to it where it will be accesible inside a bathroom closet behind the evaporator in case it needs to be cleared or flushed with bleach
