Many years ago I had a very expensive Remington shaver, which was the best electric shaver sold at that time. It proved to be a big mistake for me because it did not shave close, and I would get a rash on my neck from it. I went back to Gillette blades and shaved with them since then. Recently I found that they were not lasting as long as they did in the past, and were so expensive, that I decided to try an electric shaver again. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this Panasonic rather than the more expensive Braun. I tried it dry first and it gave me a real good shave with no rash at all. The next day I tried it wet and what a fantastic shave. I could not be happier with this shaver. If you are reading this review and wondering if you should purchase, go ahead and buy it, you wont be sorry.
