What professionals use
Works great, but it's a process... This is the most reliable bait I've ever used, but there's a couple of things you need to know: 1. This *might* kill all your roaches if you have a light to moderate infestation. Reason being, in any roach population, there'll be a few that don't die from eating the bait. They'll breed resistant babies. After 3 months, most of your new roaches will be resistant / immune to the effects, which means you'll have to change chemical formulas. Most of what I've researched says after this, the next cycle should be Advion or something like it. 2. It's gonna get worse before it gets better. I first used this product on the advice of a professional in an apartment complex I managed, and it does what it says it does. However, it doesn't start killing roaches instantly, and it, in fact, attracts MORE roaches (like a good bait should) between the food and pheromone smell (it's designed to smell like the cockroach version of a Roman orgy). THIS IS A GOOD THING, because the more roaches it attracts, the more it'll kill. 3. Keep the affected area free of other foods. If you're using it in the bathroom, make sure there's no toothpaste stuck to the sink. If it's for the kitchen, make sure at night that all dishes are clean, and counter tops and sinks are free of food particles. Dump out your toaster crumb trays. etc. 4. GIVE IT TIME. This isn't a bomb or a spray product, so it doesn't work by the roach taking a bite, then immediately flipping on its back dead. It kills slowly enough for the affected roaches to go back to the nest, die, then get eaten by their cannibal friends. The idea is to kill the whole nest, not just the few that come out where you can see them. 5. Reup about every 2 weeks. It's gonna dry out, and once it's dry, it'll crust and lose its smell and gooeyness, both of which you need for the roaches to eat it. I bought this about 2 months ago for a HEAVY infestation, and I'm down to about 15% of the roaches I was seeing when I started, so I'm switching to Advion for the 2nd cycle next week, which is what professionals do - they don't use the same bait more than 3 months because resistance builds up generationally. But that's ok, because if my 2nd cycle doesn't finish the job, there's still some left in the tube for my 3rd cycle to wrap it up.
