Have had several quality electric skillets, Farberware (13" round)and GE 12" square - both heavy steel circa 1960 and working great. However, I have always had to shift food around for even heating. My large oblong Rival electric skillet (a gift) has always had poor, uneven heating. Finally decided to replace it with the Presto 16" fold away. CANNOT PRAISE ENOUGH! Although not as heavy aluminum as their 12" square skillet, that does not seem to interfere with it's performance! Most even cooking I've ever experienced. I have Professional copper pans, commercial grade Calophalon for 30yrs, but this skillet out performed all. Delighted! NOW, if the nonstick surface services long term, it will be the best ever. Have fried delicate Bass filets, and fried chicken, NEVER MOVING a single piece for even cooking. THANK YOU PRESTO!
