Two reviews here: The first is for the mattress. This is a very well-built mattress. It has multiple layers -- coils, foam, and latex -- and a soft, cooling top. I think it would last many years. However, we had to return it because it is not "medium firm" as advertised. It is decidedly firm. This is due to the latex layer on the top. If you want the memory foam "sink" into the mattress before feeling the support, don't order this model. This model will have you lying on top of the bed with almost no sink. Some will like this aspect (again, the cover is very nice and inviting), but it wasn't for us. I suspect this applies to all latex-top mattresses. So overall mattress review is very well made, great price, but be advised that this is FIRM and make your purchase choice accordingly. Now for the return process, which was handled by a third party, Pilot Freight Services. They get an F across the board. To begin with, it took over a week to get on their calendar for a pick-up. Then on the day of my return, I stayed home from work, but no one from Pilot showed up. No call or anything. I called the office, they offered no explanation but said the next time they could schedule me was for 2 days later -- unacceptable. This time the guy did show up, but he immediately walked all over my living room carpet in his work boots, and then... he dragged the mattress out the door, down the muddy sidewalk and threw it into his truck! I couldn't believe it. This mattress was in PERFECT condition; it was just too firm for us. Now it's off to the dump when any number of people would have LOVED to have received it. It was truly disturbing to behold. I would have happily arranged for a donation pickup, but instead Pilot Freight Services is taking a mint condition mattress to the dump. Absolutely shameful. (And that's after an absurdly long waiting time.) In summary, good mattress at a great price for those who like their beds quite firm. And shame on Pilot Freight Services. Amazon should cut all ties with that garbage company.
