IlumiBowl rocks! It works exactly as described. How rare is that these days? IllumiBowl is a small motion sensor operated toilet bowl light. When you stumble into the bathroom in the middle of the night IllumiBowl senses your presence and gently lights your toilet in any one of 8 choose-able colors. Then it times off to be ready for the next time your come in. Mine has been in place for over a month. The AAA batteries are going strong despite numerous cycles on and off triggered by the cats. One important feature for me was the ability to select red light. More and more research shows that blue and white lights at night disrupt our body's melatonin production. Even a few seconds of blue or white light can shut down melatonin. Melatonin is proving to be important in fighting cancer and maintaining our body's internal clock. Our eyes also easily adjust to red light at night. The sensor is amazingly sensitive. Even located on the side of the toilet, it triggers the light as I walk in the door. I purchased the IllumiBowl as a geeky gadget. I've found it to me more helpful than I originally thought. It's a great invention. I'm buying another to place at the top of the stairs at my house to gently light that first step when guests come down the stairs at night. The unit is easily cleanable. The mounting suction cups require a very clean surface to stick. Once on it seems to stay in place no problem. The overall design seems more practical than others I researched. It won't fall in! The Illumibowl is far cheaper than buying a lighted toilet seat too. It's really nice to buy something that works, works well and elegantly solves the problem of the dark bathroom.
