I am surprised at how well the drive works; it is quieter than the blogger/reviewers led me to believe. One caveat, the bundled software needs to immediately be jettisoned as malware/spyware. If you want to actually view a Blu-ray movie you need to cough up more money for codecs and a better player than the junk included with the drive. After many years of turning out crappy software, I didn't think that CyberDVD could produce anything worse - yet they did. Not only does it kludge up your rig, it gives you the middle finger by enumerating and collecting your media collections for the company's own purposes.
