This product is GUARANTEED to remove the toughest urine odors from clothing
**Disclaimer & Long Review Alert** I did not purchase this directly from Amazon because it was cheaper to purchase in my local Home Depot store. When I'm reading reviews I look for *Amazon verified purchases* and pretty much look over the other reviews. This is a review you don't want to skim over because I I have searched high and low for a product that could remove urine & fecal odor from clothing and this FINALLY did it. This is a review of the "Lavender" scent. I smelled the citrus scent in the store and though I typically love citrus, I didn't like the smell of their version. It's just the opposite for me with lavender, because I typically don't like the scent of lavender.
My Dad is in a nursing home for rehabilitation and he soils his clothing on a regular basis, which makes for awful smelling clothes very quickly with clothes sitting in the hamper. I would wash his clothing multiple times and the stench would still knock me out to the point of me gagging.
I tried soaking his clothes in 100% distilled white vinegar, baking soda, 20 mule borax, peroxide, Oxiclean detergent, and NOTHING worked! I finally Googled urine smell removal in clothing and saw where someone swore by this product. I thought I was going to have to throw his clothes away, but this product removed urine that nothing as could touch! You definitely want to make sure you purchase the concentrated disinfectant odor eliminator.
I used this to disinfect his room at the nursing home. I used about 1 cup of Odoban and 1/2 cup Fabuloso and water and mopped, cleaned bathroom, sprayed curtains, and just deep cleaned his room. It smelled SO wonderfully clean and the nursing staff all wanted to know what I used. I told them I used what the housekeeping staff should be using in that entire facility!
I honestly had little faith in it working since everyone else swore by the others aforementioned items, but I was desperate so I had to try it. Though I think this will do the job as a standalone, here's my final formula this was tried and true.
My final formula (Soaked in sink overnight):
* 1 cup of concentrate lavender Odoban (Home Depot - $9/ 128 oz)
* 1/2 cup of Borax (Wal-Mart - $4/ 76oz)
* 1 cup white distilled Vinegar (Wal-Mart $2/gal)
Transfer clothing to washer & use normal detergent.
Allow to air dry or add to dryer with dryer sheet.
You WILL be happy! Hope my review helps someone.
