I'm a Type 2 Diabetic. I decided to try this out when this came up for review. I've been trying to eat healthier and avoid having to go back to stabbing myself in the stomach with Bydureon. I've heard good things about Bitter Melon (100mg) and how it helps with controlling glucose levels. This also has 400mcg of Vandium, 134mcg of Chromium and 60mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid. I waited to finish off the bottle before writing my review. This does help lower my glucose levels. In a few weeks, I am scheduled for more bloodwork so once I get my results, I am hoping that my A1C will be lowered. Once I get my results, I will update my review. *****UPDATE: Got my lab results and my A1C went down .9!!!!. It may not be drastic for some but I am excited. I know that managing my sugar is something I will have to do for a very long time. I'm heading in the right direction and I am ecstatic :) ***** What I don't like is that this has Magnesium Stearate. Unfortunately there are many pills that I come across that contain Magnesium Stearate and the FDA continues to say it is safe to use. Magnesium Stearate is formed by adding a magnesium ion to stearic acid. However, previous research has shown that stearic acid suppresses T cell, your natural killer cell, which are a key component of your immune system. According to lab studies, stearic acid causes the collapse of cell membrane integrity, an effect that was found to be time and dose dependent, which ultimately, can destroy cell function. This is manufactured in the USA in an FDA inspected registered facility and that adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which is a plus in my book.
