Not a straight adaptation, but that's ok
As someone who is a massive book fan, and if you are a book fan, go into this knowing that there will be changes. There's a lot that needs to be done to introduce this to a wide audience and no adaptation could possibly adapt the books as written without a ridiculous amount of seasons. Going into it with an open mind, some of the changes I liked, some I didn't like as much, but most of them I understand. It's a good start and I'm looking forward to seeing where they go from here!
