Great heater.
No smell as far as oil goes. I used to have one that was 2x larger but I really like this one. I have a flat that is 1250 sq/feet heating up 900 to 1000 sq/feet. Something to note if you put a small fan behind it even on low it will heat up a much larger area even on 700 Watts. Or at least maintain the current temp.
