Perfect for my 1998 SmartUPS 2200XLNET!
My wife recently got a call from the maintenance man at the school she works at, saying "I have a bunch of dead UPS units. Think your husband would want them?". Um...YES! So I went and picked them up. One was a APC SmartUPS 2200XLNET. One big mama, dated 1998! It was dead as a door nail, so I recycled the batteries and did a little research. Turns out that APC units will NOT turn on with bad batteries. So the unit they thought was dead, might not be actually dead. I took the chance and bought TWO of these 2-packs (it takes four batteries).
When I plugged them all up, what do you know! Boom! The unit turned on and tested 100%. Absolutely noting wrong with it, and these batteries charged up nice.
BTW: If you have an older SmartUPS, the kind with just LED's and no display, you most likely will have to reset the "battery constant" when replacing batteries. There are multiple ways to do it, but by far the easiest is a program called APCFIX by a Russian gentleman. Just google it. It works wonders and allows you to set/reset a ton of variables via the serial port so your runtime estimates will be correct.
FIVE STARS!
