Another 10 star product through Amazon.
This is another 10 star product. I have a temperamental Siamese cat, Tony, that when things aren't quite to his liking, he has a behavior. Now these behaviors can be anything from urinating on clothing left on the floor, finding his favorite space in a closet and urinating, to pooping in the bathtub. Really?! That was my response when I first saw it. The funny part was I couldn't figure out why he didn't use the tub all of the time. It didn't seem to have anything to do with the cleanliness of the litter box or the number of litter boxes that I had in my house. Certainly when my daughter brought in a little male dog into the house a year and half ago, the problem seem to get worse. The now infamous battle between Pedro and Tony occurring and then when my boyfriend moved in, the poop started showing up on the floor.
I was about to pull my hair out over my animals. I love them, but I didn't want my house smelling of dog and cat urine. I couldn't keep up with it. Everyday, I would check for poop and pee in the usual places, clean with every kind of cleaning product you can imagine to eliminate residue and smell. But it didn't matter. So in my search on Amazon, I found this product Angry Orange Pet Odor Eliminator. I read several reviews about how great it was and how it had stopped cats from urinating over and over in the same spot. Evidently, cats don't like the smell of oranges or citrus. Ah ha! I began to suspect that the reason Tony didn't poop in the bathtub all the time was the household cleaner my cleaning lady uses.
Cat lovers you know there is nothing worse than cat urine. I was so frustrated with the situation, that I was even considering rehoming the cat that I had loved for last 9 years as well as the little dog. But my daughter persuaded me to continue my search. I decided after all the positive reviews about Angry Orange Pet Odor Eliminator, that I would try it. I mean what did I have to lose. In the process, I saw that others had also purchased Rocco & Roxie Professional Strength Stain and Odor Eliminator, so I purchased both.
I followed the mixing directions on the bottle for the Angry Orange product and prepared my spray bottle to spray the bathtub. After cleaning the bathtub good. I first sprayed the Rocco and Roxie spray. Rinsed and allowed to dry. Then I sprayed the Angry Orange Pet Odor Eliminator, spraying a good amount because I really wanted this to work.
Just as others have stated, it has a very strong orange/citrus smell. Very pleasant. And to my surprise, the cat hates it. He doesn't venture into the bathtub until several days without spraying. I now spray the bathtub every other day and I have had no repeat pooping. The cat, as is his nature, did find another spot to poop. :/ However, I cleaned the spot and sprayed it with the Angry Orange Pet Odor Eliminator and no more poop. He is now going in the litter box. I have also sprayed my carpet in my office with a light mist. My office now smells like an orange grove instead of a smelly dog kennel.
I don't know this for a fact, but I don't think the dog like it either. I've noticed that Pedro has stopped marking as much, especially on his favorite spots. I'm not sure if this is a result of Rocco & Roxie product or Angry Orange product or both.
Anyway, me, my boyfriend and the house are much happier. I highly recommend this product, especially if you have a temperamental cat like mine.
