First of all, i bought the 256G version from MS stores as it's $699, $100 cheaper but only half of the storage, it meets my budget and i am a heavy cloud user, so 256G storage was good enough for me to save a $100 buck. Design : The thinnest convertible i have seem on the market at a surprising price tag, while i was at MS stores, i saw the HP Spectre X360 for more than $1100, The Zenbook UX360 sure beats it from the outlook, so much thinner and it's not a tapper design. When you fully flipped it over it holds just like a book & it open & close real nicely. I attached the photos of both Zenbook UX360 and Spectre X360 for you to compare, you will the Spectre X360 has a really wide opening when it's fully flipped over, (red lines) it's really uncomfortable to hold. Performance : As A Core M device, stunning quiet with no fan. Runs office, email, videos smoothly. Boot up time is seamless from sleep mode. Perfect for all cloud application. It has not got to a point that i felt like i am waiting for something to open, very responsive. very quiet. "NO FAN" at all. When you need your own time thinking/researching at night, this is your best companion, especially in summer, i still have my surface 3 PRO with Core i5, and it has no hesitation to break the silence at night when i really need my own time to think in the quiet space. The surface fan sounded like it's struggling to breadth, but this Zenbook is at complete peace. Screen : Nice IPS screen, the color seemed to be calibrated from factory. Battery life : super marathon runner , i use around 3hrs per day and only charging it every 3 to 4 days. Extra thing : the windows Cortana is fun, i get used to talk to google now when i need to search for something, Cortana is just as much fun. Interesting enough that although the speaker of the device isn't great but the Mic is pretty accurate. It saves you time to "Just ask" Cortana when you want to check news/weather....etc search of things you want to know. It's powered by Windows Bing instead of Google. I am however still more familiar with Google Now. What can be improved : It really need a backlit keyboard it shall be the most obvious thing to improve. Other than keyboard would really like to see if the fast charging option can be added. Speaker can also be improved, i guess with its thin profile they just can't fit a good speaker in there. The speaker cracks at max volume when the sound pitch got too high.
