I had minor surgery on my toes due to ingrown nails, one on each big toe. The new nail that grew in came in totally wrong and proceeded to die, but they didn't fall off. They just hardened and thickened and hung out in really awkward angles. Tradition nail clippers did nothing, other "heavy duty" nail clippers did nothing. I just accepted that short of another procedure to remove them, they weren't going anywhere. I bought these years later as a last ditch effort because a new hobby was putting pressure on the jank nails and causing me pain. These cut them. Not only are they sharp enough, the jaws open much wider than other similar products, and because of that they can get all the way around these stupid things that are hardly even shaped like human nails at this point. I manage to cut so much away that while they're still dead, my nails are now shaped normally and at a length that creates no discomfort. I can't imagine anyone having more jacked up nails than me. If they worked for me they'll work for you.
