I bought this with my own money. I did NOT get any discount. This is genuinely my own review. I specifically searched for a wall charger that was pink to match my cables. However, I didn't want to sacrifice performance for an aesthetically pleasing hunk of garbage (as most cute and eye-catching device accessories tend to be). Understandably, I was a little nervous, especially with a lack of reviews, but I took the plunge. For the price I paid, I didn't even expect the nice packaging and the ultra fast charging. PRESENTATION: It was shipped in a bubble mailer package. The actual charger was encased in a box so there definitely was no worry about the charger being damaged on the way here. DESIGN; I love the light pink color of this. It also has a pearlescent sheen to the color, which adds to my enjoyment of the design. It actually had a substantial weight to it. Most wall outlet chargers are very lightweight and feel kind of cheap and plasticky, but this device feels very well made and heavy in a comforting way. It didn't feel flimsy at all. The actual two metal prongs that plug into the wall can be popped out when charging is needed, and when not in use, it can be pushed down so there are no points sticking out of the device - I appreciate that thoughtfulness! There are two USB ports, one labeled "cellphones" and the other labeled "cellphones and tablets." My only minor gripe is personally, it would have looked better with a more simple designation of power output differences. For example, one lightning bolt for the "cellphones" USB port and two lightning bolts for the "cellphones and tablets" USB port...or simply putting the max output number for each port. I think either change would add to the elegance of this device, but that's my personal input. I still appreciate that I can tell which USB port to use when I want a faster charge, which is what other wall chargers I've tried have lacked. PERFORMANCE: Arguably the most important aspect to consider. Thankfully, this tranesca charger lived up and actually exceeded my expectations. There is a small bulb that lights up blue once it's plugged into an outlet. It's a nice touch to know for sure that it is working and electricity is flowing through it. I find that this charges my phone 40% faster than using my old cheap wall outlet charger and ~60% faster than when charging from my laptop. I tested this by using my phone and my brother's phone (iPhones 5s, we have identical phones) once both phones were dead. We have the same charging cable so differences in cables did not affect the testing. When plugged in at the same time, the results were: Tranesca: ~90 minutes Old wall outlet: ~125 minutes Laptop: ~145 minutes For a person who is always on her phone and needs quick charging. FINAL THOUGHTS: All I wanted was a cute wall charger that wasn't flimsy and did its job. I found my new favorite charger. Thank you Tranesca for a wonderful product that was a delight to open.
