I have to confess that I have not read the book completely but as I was skimming through it before giving it to my kids I came across a couple things that the book could have done without. The first has to do with a section on palm reading. While most people will see this as just a game and nothing to make a big deal, I have issue with this. It dabbles with the occult which is dangerous. I grew up in a country where the spirit world was very real- not something to be played with. Most in the Western world may scoff at this but there are far too many things out there that could have been added instead of this. The other thing that I had issue with was under games for a sleep over. There was a "game" to summon the spirit of Bloody Mary. Once again, something that in my opinion dabbles too close to the occult. Since I am pointing out things that some may want to know about before purchasing- there is also a section on how to tell a ghost story. This is something that you make up, so I don't find quite so controversial; although it would not be missing anything if it was left out. I gave this book 4 stars because overall from what I saw I thought the book was fun and full of good tidbits but wanted to point out some things so that others are not caught completely off guard if they have issues with these things being in a book for children.
