I finally went ahead and dished out the money for this... I don't regret it, but it has a couple of things that could easily be improved to make this an awesome product. The paddles inside have too big of a gap to the container, which causes way too much ice to form on the walls. The supplied scooper is useless, the handle is too short and you get ice cream all over your fist! The programs are a bit off, you usually need to chose 'the next up' to get the desired consistency Other than that... this thing (using the proper ingredients and recipes) makes INCREDIBLE ice cream, gelato and sorbet.
